The environmentally friendly S-316 extraction solvent is used with the OCMA-350 to extract oil components from oily water samples, soil samples, or product surfaces. The extract is analyzed using IR absorbance, a non-dispersive infrared spectrophotometric technique which is specific to hydrocarbons such as oil. The S-316 Solvent allows for accurate measurement of hydrocarbons with no distortion of values due to its presence.
